We worked with the Fred Rogers Company to develop the companion website to the Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood tv show, inspired by the legacy of Mr. Rogers. The show and web experiences are targeted at children between the ages of 2 and 5. The site was launched in 2012.
I was the UI/UX designer on the first phase of this project, and was involved with the overall site design, 6 games, and the printables and video pages. I worked with the game designer to map out UX flow of the website and games so that 1) all of the interactives were fun for kids to play with, and 2) the parent/guardian could intuitively navigate the site. We also had to closely follow branding guidelines for both the Daniel Tiger Neighborhood show and the PBSKids network of companion sites.
